The Access Floor system was originally designed for use in computer rooms. As a result, raised access floors are able to support heavy loads. This easy access to the space between the raised floor and the concrete allows access to all cables and connection boxes placed under the raised floor. Use of the void space as a cableway enables the installation of a large number of conductors with maximum choice of pathway. In computer rooms, the space between the concrete and the raised floor
can be used for air circulation in order to prevent overheating of the
machines, or for air conditioning. |
|
A modular unit (or panel ) can easily be lifted by an ordinary glazier's suction cup to allow immediate access to any part of the covered area. The free space between the concrete and the raised floor can vary according to need from 10 to 100 centimetres, and even more. |
